An IBCLC provides support to parents who breastfeed/chestfeed or planning to do so. Additionally, we can address topics like drying up milk supply, oral motor skills, exclusive pumping, donor milk, formula, weaning, and introductory foods, and more.

While breastfeeding/chestfeeding is a natural process, it can be hard! Many parents do not inherently possess this skill and that’s okay! It is a learned behavior that may take much patience and practice. Research indicates that if you were not raised in an environment where breastfeeding was commonplace, acquiring this skill might be somewhat more difficult.

Lactation consulting aims to empower parents with the information, guidance, and practical assistance they need to navigate their feeding journey successfully. We will work on evaluating the latch, addressing any discomforts, problem solving, emotional support, personalized guidance, and promotion of long term breast/chestfeeding to enhance your overall experience.

I bring a scale and other tools as needed to your appointment.
